Terms of service
Last updated: 15 October 2026
Welcome to Whisker & Wildcard! These Terms & Conditions explain how purchases through our website work and outline the responsibilities of both our business and our customers.
Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy and Shipping Policy.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
1. About us
This website is operated by:
Whisker & Wildcard Ltd
Trading as Whisker & Wildcard
Company registration number: 17361781
Registered in: England and Wales
Email: ollie@whiskerandwildcard.com
Whisker & Wildcard Ltd is the seller of products purchased through this website.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the technology used to operate our website and process transactions. Your contract for the purchase of goods is with Whisker & Wildcard Ltd, not Shopify.
2. Using our website
You agree to use our website lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or security.
You must not use the website to engage in fraudulent activity, gain unauthorised access to systems, introduce malicious software or infringe the rights of others.
We may take reasonable steps to prevent misuse of our website, including restricting access where necessary.
3. Products and descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices and availability information are accurate.
Products may include sealed Pokémon Trading Card Game products, individual trading cards, collectible figures and other related items.
Product photographs are intended to represent the products being sold. Minor differences in packaging, artwork or manufacturing details may occur where these do not make the product materially different from its description.
Where a product contains randomly assorted cards, figures, promotional items or artwork designs, the specific contents may vary. A particular character, card or design is not guaranteed unless expressly stated in the product listing.
For individual trading cards, the advertised condition forms part of the product description.
All goods supplied to consumers must meet the applicable requirements of UK consumer law, including being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose where applicable.
4. Product availability
All products are subject to availability.
Products displayed as sold out cannot ordinarily be purchased through our online checkout.
If an item becomes unavailable after you have placed an order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate resolution, including a refund where we cannot fulfil the purchase.
We may apply reasonable purchase limits, particularly where stock is limited or unusual ordering activity is identified.
5. Placing an order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products at the prices displayed.
After placing an order, you will receive an acknowledgement confirming that we have received it.
An order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.
Your order will be accepted when we confirm that it has been allocated and is being processed for dispatch, or when we otherwise expressly confirm acceptance.
We may need to cancel an order in limited circumstances, including genuine stock unavailability, an obvious pricing error, suspected fraud or circumstances that prevent fulfilment.
If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled order.
We will not cancel an order simply to resell the product to another customer at a higher price.
6. Pricing and payment
All prices are displayed in British pounds sterling (GBP).
The total amount payable, including applicable delivery charges, will be shown before you complete checkout.
We accept the payment methods offered through our checkout.
Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.
If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before fulfilment to explain the issue and offer you the choice of proceeding at the correct price or receiving a refund.
We will not charge a higher amount without your agreement.
7. Promotions and discounts
We may occasionally offer promotional discounts, voucher codes, reduced prices or other special offers.
Promotions may have specific eligibility conditions, expiry dates or purchase limits, which will be explained where applicable.
Unless otherwise stated, promotional offers cannot be exchanged for cash or applied retrospectively to completed purchases.
Promotions do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
8. Delivery
We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom.
Our standard delivery options are:
-
Standard Tracked: £3.95
-
Express Tracked: £4.95
-
Free Standard Tracked: Available on eligible orders of £80 or more.
Delivery prices and eligibility are confirmed during checkout.
We normally aim to dispatch orders within 2–3 working days after payment has been received.
Delivery timeframes are estimates rather than guaranteed deadlines unless a guaranteed service is expressly offered and purchased.
We remain responsible for goods during delivery in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Please refer to our Shipping Policy for further information about delivery services, delays, tracking and lost parcels.
9. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains how to cancel an order, return eligible products and request remedies where goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.
For most online purchases, consumers have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods, followed by a further 14 days to return them.
Certain legal exceptions may apply.
Handling goods beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functionality may result in a lawful deduction from a cancellation refund where their value has been diminished.
This may be relevant to opened trading card products or damaged collectible packaging. However, opening packaging does not automatically remove statutory cancellation rights.
Where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet legal requirements, your statutory rights apply.
Our Returns & Refunds Policy provides further information, including an optional cancellation form.
10. Trading cards and collectibles
We understand that product condition is particularly important to collectors.
Individual cards may have manufacturing characteristics including variations in centring, whitening, print lines or other imperfections.
Where these are consistent with the advertised condition and description, they may not necessarily constitute a defect.
If an item's condition materially differs from its description, please contact us so we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy.
For sealed and randomly assorted products, receiving a particular card, character or design is not guaranteed unless expressly stated.
We do not guarantee the future collectability, market value, rarity or investment performance of any product.
11. Pre-orders
Where we offer pre-order products, they will be clearly identified as such.
The product listing will provide the expected release or dispatch timeframe and any applicable conditions.
Orders containing pre-order items may be dispatched together once all products are available, where this has been made clear before purchase.
If a pre-order is significantly delayed or cannot be fulfilled, we will communicate with the customer and provide appropriate cancellation or refund options in accordance with applicable law.
12. Intellectual property
The Whisker & Wildcard name, logo, original artwork, website design, written content and other original materials created by us are owned by or licensed to Whisker & Wildcard Ltd.
They may not be reproduced or commercially exploited without the necessary permission.
Pokémon, Pokémon TCG, related character names, artwork, logos and trademarks are the intellectual property of their respective owners.
Whisker & Wildcard is an independent retailer and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Creatures or GAME FREAK.
Third-party product names, trademarks and images are used to identify and describe the products we sell, subject to applicable rights and permissions.
13. Third-party services
Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of independently operated third-party websites.
Services such as payment processing and ecommerce hosting may be subject to additional terms and privacy notices from the relevant provider.
14. Website availability and errors
We make reasonable efforts to keep our website secure, accessible and accurate.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the website will always be free from technical errors.
We may occasionally perform maintenance or update website content.
Where an error affects an existing order, we will handle the situation fairly and in accordance with applicable law.
15. Our liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing excludes or restricts our liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Breaches of statutory consumer rights.
-
Goods that are faulty or not as described.
-
Any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or are unrelated to a breach of our obligations.
Nothing in these Terms limits any remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
16. Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Occasionally, events such as severe weather, postal disruption, industrial action or major technical failures may affect our ability to fulfil orders.
Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate significant delays.
These circumstances do not remove or restrict your statutory rights, including relevant rights concerning delayed or undelivered goods.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal obligations.
The version applicable to a purchase will generally be the version in effect when the order was placed.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired by customers.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers retain any mandatory protections available under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction over their claim.
